You might lose up to 3lbs a week.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

The thing is that you'll have to reduce the amount of calories that would normally be left in your body. You can do this by eating less or burning off the calories.

You will lose a pound for every 3500-4000 calories that you cut off from your regular intake. That isn't daily. It can be cut off during any period of time. How long it takes to lose the weight will depend on how many calories you are cutting off from your regular routine. It's all up to you.

Even with what you added on to the question, it still depends on calories. It's not the time that you spend exercising that will help you to lose weight, but the calories that are lost while exercising that will help you to lose weight. You'd do better with cardio exercises where you keep your body more active with little rest in between. You shouldn't aim for times, but for completion of certain goals that you want to achieve in your workout, like 100 crunches or a 2 mile jog. This way, you always know that you are doing the same amount of work. It's easier to control your weight loss that way.

It depends on your specific metabolic rate. Make sure you have all the nutrients you need vitamins, protein, veggies. You should always consult a nutritionist if you are not going to be eating certain things. If you don't you may experience severe mood change, gain more weight, damage organs indefinitely. The most important thing is don't give up if you don't see results right away. Don't focus on it, just make it your lifestyle forever and you will reach your goals. Quick weight loss can cause organ and , brain damage, stretch marks(which are irreversible), and your body goes into starvation made and you end up gaining it back plus some extra.

Judging from your avatar picture u don't look like you need to lose weight unless that's how you plan to look when you do loose the weight. However I am not here to judge, I don't know how long it usually takes but I know this a good guide as to how much you should weigh to be healthy. For a females; 100lbs for your first 5ft in height and 5lbs for each additional inch over 100lbs that you are. For males 105lbs for first 5ft and 5 lbs for each inch over. So if you are a 5 ft 4in female you ought to weigh approx 120lbs give or a take about 5lbs. You don't have to be exact.

It all depends on your body's ability to burn fat, what type of exercise you're doing and for how long, and your diet. Your diet and your fitness routine will be a big factor. It generally takes 4-6 weeks for your body to get used to a new routine and to see your body actually burning fat. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs. per week. Good luck!
