hi, thanks for the answer about togo tips, now it's my turn to give you a cooking "tip" :-)

I sometimes make chicken pot pie, and I take the chicken breasts and put them in water, just enough to cover them, bring to simmer on high heat and let them simmer for 8-12 minutes. remove from the hot water and let them cool for a while before cutting or shredding.

yumm.. I love enchiladas .. with jack cheese .. yummm ;_)

Not boiled, but close....
I call this Steamed Chicken recipe a No Brainer recipe!
Corn pot. steamer. medium heat on burner. Package of fresh or frozen... whole or parts.. doesn't matter but adjust the time for situation... it's about 1 1/2- 2 1/2 hrs. 4 Cups water. 1/2 Cup of Soy sauce. Lid it. Keep an eye on it for boiling out of water. Warning: when done... opening the lid, the sauce will make the chicken pot smell NASTY, but the chicken itself will be falling off the bone, and delicately salted. Serve with your side dish. I preferred rice. When you make it... you will consider it a no brainer also!

make sure the strips are approx the same size to give an even cooking time, i would simmer rather than boil so you dont break up pieces. cant give an exact time because dont know the size of your chicken pieces, so just pull a piece out evey few minutes and cut it to check, or if you squeeze it the more resistance the more the piece is cooked.

Cut it into strips and drop it into simmering chicken stock (or water and some chicken boullion cubes). Simmer uncovered, don't boil hard, over med. heat for about 6-8 minutes.

Chicken strips only have to boil for about 15 minutes if they are boneless. You should be able to shred it with your fingers after it has cooled.
