My father has abused me since I was very young. (about 5) He claims he hasn't done it, but even the rest of my family says he has. He denies doing anything wrong. So does that mean that I am the one doing something wrong?

How old are you now? If you are a grown adult, you should probably find a way to put this all behind you. There comes a time when you just have to realize that you weren't at fault and that he will someday have to face reality. When he looks at himself in the mirror, he cannot lie to the face staring back at him. You are not doing anything wrong except expecting him to take responsibility for what he did. That will have to come from him on his own terms. I am sorry to hear that you had to go through that. I was raised by an abusive father as well and it took years before he and I could come to terms with what happend. I wish you all the luck!

NO... you did nothing wrong. Being an abusive father, husband, signfigant other, etc... is a mental health condition. It's something that they can do and not remember or do and remember but not want to admit to. Being abusive isn't something to be proud of and most men or women for that matter won't admit to it. There's counseling they can go to. I know one program is called Men Against Violence. You will also have to go to counseling to learn to trust men again. I hope you get yourself out of this situation because it's very destructive and will eventually get worse and worse until you can't get out.

My Father beat me as a baby, it was painful for him and me.
When I ask my Dad about it, I was bigger than him. The memory was painful for my father, for there was no reason for what he had done.
In the beatings our Fathers told us we were bad. They were WRONG to beat us and WRONG to send us that message.
Our Fathers want it to go away, it will not.

People who does the wrong thing usually denies it. why blame yourself. If you were mistreated to a certain extent then you were abused.

he's in denial, and trying to hide the fact that he's abusive, since he could get into a lot of trouble for that, your not doing anything wrong, he is
