Nuts, especially almonds are a wonderful choice for a protein booster.

Soy milk is too. I was skeptial about drinking soy milk, but my fiancee made a believer out of me, and now I love the taste.

Below is a very wonderful site devoted to the subject.

Good luck :)

Tuna is great (just don't go overboard - mercury levels, no more than a few cans a week). Beef jerky is good, but high in sodium. Beans are also very good, but not whole sources of proteins like from animal sources. You can get complete sources of proteins by combining legumes with protein rich vegetables. But you shouldn't worry about things containing 0% fat or 0% cholesterol...a little bit isn't going to hurt you, and is even needed in your diet. Just worry about bad fats and bad forms of cholesterol, though those usually come hand in hand. So stay away from burgers, hot dogs and pork, and eat lean steaks, chicken and fish, as those are all great sources of healthy proteins.

You might not know this but eggs are a good source of protein. If you mix some beans & rice it becomes the purest form of protien I've come across. And like everone else is saying, meat is also a good source of protien. Hope this helps.

A good source of protein is peanut butter. Widely available and easy to handle. Any kind of meat would be good or eggs if you are not a vegetarian.

Any type of nut. Peanut butter is always a good thing! Eggs, milk, and meats. A nice chef's salad can be a great source. Most of the ones I have had and make use ham, turkey, and hard boiled eggs. Good luck and good eating!

Milk, cheese and yoghurt are good sources of protein, but the best source is eggs. There are so many things you can do with eggs, fry, scramble, omlettes etc Ooh nuts are good as well!!

first of all my answer will be different from the rest...but, i can assure you...i know what i am talking about...

your body cannot diggest and absorb animal protein...is what i suspect..

so, you need to eat lots of tofu, dark green veggies, beans, and legumes...try the boco veggie burgers, they are a good sourse of protein

for snacks, try taco chips with hummus, or some pecans or walnuts.

Check out these links, buddy.

"Actually, protein intakes above 20% are not recommended based on current research, even for weight lifters. High protein intakes stress your kidneys and do not result in greater muscle gain."

"the results show that any single one or combination of these plant foods provides amino acid intakes in excess of the recommended requirements."
