I don't agree with her question - a Christian would not return evil for evil but what I want to know is why do nonChristians set themselves up to be our enemy?? I constantly hear nonChristians calling Christians stupid, mindless followers, can't read a book, etc. I don;'t say these things about nonChristians and none of these people know me , know what I have been through in my life, know why I make the decisions I do, know the hours of research I do , questions I ask and answers I seek- why would someone scream at me not to be judgemental (taking that scripture completely out of context by the way) yet make such biased unfair judgements against me and other Christians?? So Why do some, not all, nonChristians choose to be our enemy??

I don't know why people are that way. God says for us to love our neighbor, he didn't that I know of put any conditions on that the only ones that do that are people themselves. Whatever a person believes or does not believe is irrelevant when it comes to caring about another human being. Yes I care about where anyones soul goes when they die, but it is still not my place to judge them for whatever opinion they may hold. So yes you have good and bad on both sides of the coin, but if people stop and think sometimes they do make what they claim to be hypocritical in anothers eyes...so why would anyone want to listen anyway, right.

Well, probably out of their own insecurity.
A Christian (one who strives to be like Christ in his perfection) sees the non-christian as not knowing God and therefore if the person is believed to not know God then that person must be evil.
A true Christian would see the non-Christian as a person in need. If the non-Christian rejects the Christian, the Christian should pray that God touch his heart.
A Christian should be an example, not a judge of another's character. They realize not that they are subjecting themselves to this same scrutiny by all those around them.
I appreciate your question. I hope I am not in that category. I see non-christians as people in need. I offer my assistance. It is rejected daily. I continue to offer as that is my duty as a child of God.

I saw this and though I do not agree with Darwin as the scientist but at least the one asking questions is creating discussion and thought.
I do not agree with the method she took to express this. Their is plenty of real evidence to do so. And I will not answer a question put in that way.
It dose make everyone who claims any belief in God look bad

I'm a Christian and i agree with you...i actually answered this question that you are referring to. I'm not going to judge you or anyone else...and in my opinion, she doesn't really show how a true Christian should act. Maybe she wanted to word it different, i don't know...but I have a loving heart for all, no matter what their opinion is about anything.

She was ranting. Do you never rant? And thank you VERY much for putting that terrific 4 letter word in your question: some. VERY nice. Much better than some Christians ;-)

Yeah, they're a little defensive and sensitive about their beliefs. To me, saying God is man-made is stating the obvious, to them, it's mean and hateful (even though I don't intend it that way). I think they think we're being mean even though we're really not. I think they think our refusal to believe is meant as a slap in the face to them and their beliefs. The meanness and hatred is all in their minds.

She preaches something she does not practice.
I think she is the exact type of answerer who gives the kind Christians a really bad name.
