Yes you can take them down but it will be time consuming and you'll have to work in stages... It's definately not an overnight job..

Check out the source

Scroll down near the bottom of the page and there are instructions and photos detailing how a lady took her daughters long dreadlocks down slowly and the daughter ended up with a loose fluffy style.

Hope that helps..

It depends how 'locked' they are. If you go to a salon (or have lots of patience to do it at home) you might be able to save a couple inches of hair. You will have to cut most of the dreads off. Then you will have to use a lot of conditioner to try and work out the knots.

No. You would just have to cut your hair short enough to cut off the dreds.

Basically, yes. You have to cut them to the roots were the locks are not knotted and start over as you like. You wont have to go completely bald, but you have to cut them off. They wont get loose with a comb (at least not the locks I know)

No you will have to them cut as far down as possible. Then you will have to detangle what's left over, and that's a two day process. Others shave their heads due to the detangling process.

u will most likely have to shave ur hair or, to a shorte length where the dreads have not yet locked, cuz its real hard to unlock them.
