i am in spiritual exile. i have abandoned my religious upbringing, i contemplate conspiracy theories, i cant block out noise, i question all authority, i want to learn to meditate but dont have the time, energy, or will, i want to bring buddhist principles into my life but i am too lazy, and the only feeling's of peace or relaxation i get are from physical stimuli (i.e. sex and adreniline). self imposed spiritual exile..........not a good idea.

kinda hard work these days but I suppose you could try.
I always feel rejuvinated by little retreats so why not.
it's a myth that walden was alone in the woods. he was actually seen out to dinner with friends around town during the time he was on "retreat."

It can be achieved permanently, Just sin one time in your life and don't have anything to do with God and there you go.
It might hurt quite a bit.

I don't see why not. As long as you don't have to work for a living. Or you could join a monastery.
