The last time I checked......yeah.....I was still alive and kickin'. No mention of my untimely demise on the back page of the newspaper as yet.
LBJ's "Great Society" really didn't push any of my happy buttons in DaNang, Viet Nam. I was pretty much convinced that he was in a position that required leadership and insight that was way beyond his demonstrated capabilities.
In my opinion, he was the perfect example of the stereotypical politician. Check the polls, make a decision.
Poverty and social welfare are important, to be sure, but don't you really think that they should be prioritized properly during a war!

Present and accounted for. Maybe it is because some states might secede from the union because of the current trend to usurp our freedoms by our elected executive branch. Know what your candidates stand for. read their record whenever available.

You too can live in that great society if you put some blinkers on and hide yourself and those you love from unsavouryness. Thats how it worked back then.

No they are not dead, many are members of the baby boomer generation approching retirement. Their parents are now retired and hopefully a whole lot wiser.

They all moved to Canada. Most Americans did not want LBJ's brand of socialism, and they still don't.
