Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are some minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

With love in Christ.

There is a big difference between Protestants and Catholics.
Protestants base their beliefs from the Word of God-the Bible.
Even though the Catholics have their version of the Bible there are a lot of things that they put in there for their own convenience.
Catholics also pray to saints and they hold a high regard for Mary, Jesus' mother. I went to a Catholic grade school and there are so many things that I learned by reading the Bible that the Catholic religion would never admit to. Catholics feel that you can get into heaven by confessing your sins to a priest and saying 10 our Fathers and 10 Hail Marys, it does not work that way. The only one I need to confess my sins to to get forgiven in my Lord God and Jesus for guidence.

You mean Catholic Christians and Born Again Christians?
When you enter a Catholic church for example...you will see Jesus on the cross...when you enter a gym or a theater in the mall...you might be in a Born Again Christian church- to your surprise. Jesus is the main focus in the latter...for Catholics Mother Mary is very important and is being worshiped, because she was the mother of Jesus. Catholic church has a service that is the same all over the world from beginning to end...just in different languages...You confess your sins to the priest in a Catholic church...in a Born Again Christian church you repent directly to God through His son Jesus Christ ... you accept Jesus into your heart when you are older- then get baptized...in the Catholic church you are baptized as a baby....the list goes on and on.
Sorry, I gotta use the bathroom....
I'm back...the church service in a Born Again Christian church is much livelier...there's dance and drama performances...speakers from all over the world come to visit...so much more fun!

Catholics and Protestants are both under the umbrella of Christianity.

Christians follow the Bible as the last word on everything, Catholics follow the Church as the last word on everything. Christians go to Jesus for forgiveness for sins, Catholics go to a priest man, Catholics say that the day to worship on is Sunday, Christians (if they truly follow the word as they say they do) keep Saturday holy like the Ten commandments say to do.
Hope that helped! God bless!

I was raised Catholic and still do not understand a lot of the Catholic religion, I do know it is the only religion that prays to Mary as well as Jesus and God. Growing up I realized the Catholic religion wasn't for me and I currently do not belong to a "religion", but I do believe in God. Organize religion confuses me. I believe a lot of it is man made beliefs and so therefor a lot of room for judgment. I consider myself a Christian I guess, in my terms a Christian who is someone who believes in God and has accepted him into their lives.

Catholics are Christians, but they can do whatever they want, then confess it and it is forgiven. Other Christians don't have that luxury.
