Hi there!

You didn't say if you wanted it for a specific part of the reception, so I'll give you a few ideas to run with.

Bride and Groom's First Dance:

All My Life-- K-Ci and Jo Jo
Always-- Atlantic Starr
Always and Forever-- Heatwave or Luther Vandross
Forever Mine-- OJays
So Amazing-- Luther Vandross
The Day I Married My Angel-- Jamie Foxx (personal favorite)
For You-- Kenny Lattimore
For You I Will-- Monica
Let's Chill-- Guy
Let's Get Married-- Jagged Edge
*The new song by Freddie Jackson will be at all the weddings now, just watch!

Father/Daughter--

My Daddy-- Beyonce
Dance With My Father-- Luther Vandross
Beautiful to Me-- Will Downing
Because You Loved Me-- Celine Dion (or Donnie McClurkin)
Count on Me-- Whitney Houston/ CeCe Winans
If I Could-- Regina Belle
Heaven-- Jamie Foxx
Hero-- Mariah Carey

Mother/Son--some of the songs above can be used here as well

Mama-- Boyz II Men
I Wish You Love-- Natalie Cole
Unforgettable-- Natalie Cole
The Earth, The Sun The Rain-- Color Me Badd
What A Wonderful World-- Louis Armstrong

As for regular dancing-- it depends on what you are into. Some weddings like the Cha Cha Slide or the Electric Slide...others won't have it. Ludacris made some really nice tracks that turned into party tunes as well. Kanye West has some good ones as well. Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Puff Daddy and Missy are always dependable for good dance tracks. Be sure if you have kids in attendance to get the edited versions. No one wants to leave your wedding with your favors and their three year old sounding off Eminem lyrics!

Best to you!

I made a mix. At the reheasal dinner, I had several steel pan band cds with the classical favorites like Hot Hot Hot and Congo. At the very beginning, while everyone was just getting there--we played ocean surf (Solitudes collections that you see in a lot of stores like Brookstone, BedBathandBeyond and Walmart). Then as it got up to dancing music a lot of really popular songs a few years ago had a reggae inspired sound. Black Eyed Peas, Sean Paul, Nina Sky. "Hey Mama" stuff like that. It was recent enough that everyone got up to dance for it. We also used some Spanish music--Flamenco stuff. Thats more the coast of Cuba and Mexico but with tropical theme--the Caribbean is one ocean no matter what country the sand is on.

These are the moments by Edwin McCain. I think that would be a great song to play at a wedding.

Any Ludacris songs will do great for hip-hop. Everyone loves his songs and they'll get even grandma dancing.
