No... its illegal for anyone under 21 to have access to alcohol (at least in the US... if thats where you are) There COULD be (if someone bought some who was over 21)... but, its still illegal...

To the person below me... its pretty stupid that you didnt read my second sentence. I didn't say it would stop people from drinking. I simply said that someone has to BUY the alcohol. I know underage people drink. I am 20 years old and I have done underage drinking too.

I was wondering the same thing when my best friend and I were invited to a sweet sixteen party. We were only sophomores in highschool and this girl was a junior. We were so worried that we wouldnt look cool if everyone there was drinking and we werent. There ended up being no alcohol and we had a really great time. If the party is at a hall or community house then there wont be alcohol. if its at this girls house and her parents arent likely to be home then there probably will be. Dont worry about alcohol. just go and have fun and be safe!

I certainly hope not. It opens up a lot of things for not only the kids (underage drinking), but the parents as well (liability if anything happens to someone when they leave the party).

If the parents are hosting the party, I would think they would have the common sense to not supply alcohol to minors. If kids somehow seem to sneak alcohol into the party, then they could still be in trouble.

There shouldn't be! The people who own the location where she has her party could get in trouble for that. Hopefully there will be a parent or other adult present. We're talking about seriously underage kids here, and no, it isn't customary for drinking to go on at these parties. However, realistically there could be some if someone sneaks it in.

If it's a whitetrash party, then yes. If the parents there are respectable and value morality, which is usually why you have a "sweet sixteen" b-day party in the first place, then no, there will be no drinking.

no not usually becuase its not legal. Thats a 21st b-day. The only alcohol may be if the parents buy a small bottle of wine as a toast like my friends mom did but otherwise no.

At 16 you are too young to drink. There will be plenty of time to be a drunk sloppy retard when you are older. Instead, enjoy the day sober and safe. Don't give your parents any heart attacks.

Depends on the person, if she is a drinker, and no parents will be there (or if her parents dont care) then there probly will be some yes...

And what the hell... Just cuz she, and most likly every one there, is under 21, doesnt mean its gunna stop them from drinking if they want to, us teens allways have our hook ups on the illegal ****... Teens just dont care untill they get caught... i bet you drunk at the age of 16 sometime... or even 20, then its still illegal isnt it?

NO, because she is only 16...and as you know you have to be 21 years of age to drink...unless someone is 21 and furnishes the booze...but then he could get caught CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR;;;;IF HE GOT CAUGHT!!!
