If the pain is untollerable, you need to see a Dr> Pancreatitis is very serious! Good luck.

That's a personal decision, as no two people will have the same pain threshold. If you're experiencing pain it's not a good sign, it's an alarm that the body gives that something is wrong. If you can't decide, it's best to get evaluated for at least peace of mind (psychological health is important for recovery as well as physical wellness).

That is indeed one of the most painful conditions, and takes weeks to recover from. Please follow the food and rest suggestions to the letter, as complications can ensue, and the pain will reach new highs. :(

doctors will usually ask you on a scale of 1-10 1 being none and 10 being the worst what do you feel. Panreatitis hurts pretty bad so even if you assume thats what it is and you arent hurting that bad you should go to the hospital anyway. I knew someone who had it before and he got there just in time. so you better get going.

its painful alright and i would wait beyond a 5 (of a scale of 1 being the less pain and 10 being severe pain).

also have them check your liver enzymes too *note, alt and ast levels sometimes are not effected depenging on liver disease like hcv*
