The Birthday Ball is traditionally held as close to October 11th as possible. Very large Naval bases like Norfolk or Oceana may actually have several venues in order to accomodate everyone.
check with MWR to get the dates specfic to your command.

Each command has it own ball, so it depends on the ball. I don't know when the Navy birthday is. It is near the Marine corps birthday and that is Nov. 10th. but the ball is held on different days depending on the command. His command should have that info. or check the Navy Times.

The Navy's Birthday is Oct 13th... and the ball is usually within a week before or after... ours is the 14th this year (in Italy).
