AT&T offers unified messaging that will allow you to text thru your home phone. It is only about $3 extra a month on your bill.

We can already send text messages across a phone line. It's called email.

Why would you want to text from home anyway? You have a phone, just friggin' CALL them.

You can. I already do when I'm entering my health insurance number which is a combination of letters and numbers. All you need is the right software. The question may be asked, why would you want to?
