It hurts really bad, if it keeps on hurting then he have to do something and he didn't say what . I went in the first time for the tooth cause it was chipped ,leaving a hole at the top of tooth, that day he said that I need a root canal . So, for two weeks i've been on penicillin pills and pain pills. then last week he tryed the root canal and couldn't find the canal to get the roots out. finally today the found the canal and broke off a file trying to make the canal wider. also he must have pull my tooth , cause not any of the tooth is there any more. what can I do about what he did , he didn't do the right thing like I ask him to do. He can't even tell me what or when I will get better, but he hasn' charged me for the root canal.. What should I do?

I would consider seeing an endodonist. They do nothing BUT root canal treatments all day, every day. A good part of what they do is overcome problems like broken instruments. If your dentist is not getting anywhere with the pain, it's time for you to get some real help. Ask for a referral and maybe the guy you go to will discount the fee as a courtesy to the referring dentist. I would not COUNT on it, but I've seen it happen in a good relationship.

I agree with Dr Sam, specialists are trained to treat situations like this. All they do is root canals for about 2 years under the supervision of other specialists. It might not be that your dentist is incompetent either, things like this happen, if they didn't, people wouldn't be trained on how to correct the situtation. I suggest you make an appointment as soon as you can.

talk to the dentist that started the procedure,
and explain to him that the reason you went to see him was to solve your tooth problem, and if he can 1. discount your treatment 2. refer you to an. endodontist and hope for a discount.
it's not good to be on pain pills or antibiotics for too long.
