There's a technique which is called Pulsed Light, which is a type of laser without really being a laser. They send light which burns the hair as it touches it. The darker your hair and the lighter your skin, the better (you can't have a tan, for example). But it works with pretty much all types of skin and of hair.

It's quite new, but apparently, it's permanent (as opposed to laser). I'm having it done, but haven't finished it yet.

Each session goes quite fast. It's not too painful, but you'd better buy a cream, at least for the bikini (Emla)

Prices. I can't quite remember the details (and it's in Pounds) but it cost me £1,600 for: half-legs, armpits, and the whole pubic area (everything, including around the anus).

There are different machines: EpiLight, Lightsheer, Chromolite. I know there are other ones, because my cousin is using the same technique in France (pulsed light), but with another machine.

Here's a link if you want more info.

It's where I'm doing it. However, they burnt me behind the thighs, because my hair was too fine, so be careful! If you live in London, there are plenty of clinics. Just go on the Internet and type "Pulsed light" or "Epilight" or any of the names given above. If you live in the US, I think that's where the machine was invented, so I'm sure you'll find a lot of place which provide this type of treatment.

PS: My cousin is doing it at a beautician. If you're planning on doing the bikini line, and want the "lips" done (USE THE CREAM!!!!), make sure they do it because some women don't want to do it. They'll pretend it's for security reason, but in fact it's just because they don't want to touch you there. That's what happened to me (one of the nurses didn't, but another one did!), and I had already paid for it! They are going to hear me!!! But, joking aside, make sure that you know what you're paying for.

Laser removal. The larger the patch of hair, the more expensive it'll be.
