I'm guessing that "A" school is Navy. I'm not sure how they operate. However, I know that you're not allowed leave after BCT in the Army. My hubby is a Drill Sergeant and within 3 days of graduation, everyone is shipped off to their AIT. There's no exceptions. In fact, chances are rare that you'd even get leave after AIT. They'd rather you got to your permanent duty station first. The usual exception is if you have time before going overseas, like Germany.
Good luck and thanks for serving!!

Unless the policy has changed since I was in. yes you will.
You will get 15 days advanced leave between Boot and "A" School.
After "A" School you can take another 30 days advanced leave. Between "A" and your permanent duty station.
Of course with all the hostilities going on that may be subject to the requirements of the service.
Also if you take the full 45 days advanced leave allowed, you will be a Year and a Half negative in the hole for future leave.
I got Married during my 15 between Boot and "A".
The 30 days between "A" and PDS was used to get my new family settled in Sandy Eggo (San Diego)
This of course was back in 90-91

Most services will let you go home for a short leave between basic training and A-school depending upon the start dates and how often YOUR school starts...
I had a 54 week school that started 3 days after my basic training.. so I was the ONLY person that did not get to go home on leave prior to school (*GriN* but I got an extra stripe for qualifying for the school)
Oh.. wait.. that was A-school and then C-School one right after the other with no break for 70 weeks (16 week A, and 54 C)

If you are in the Navy no, you will not be able to go home after bootcamp. My boyfriend left exactly one week ago and i talked to his recruiter the day of his departure and he said that there is no break in between bootcamp and A-School. They will get leave after A-School, which could range from a week up to an entire month, depending on the job.

In most cases you will. You might even be able to go home after A school. Watch how many days you take. You get 2.5 days per month. Depending on the time of year you might want to save your leave take it after A school. (i.e. save it for Christmass). oops holiday time. I forgot. If I offended anyone too bad.
Most cases they don't want you to go more than 30 days in the hole. But things like Emergency leave sometimes takes care of that theory. Good luck. God Bless Thanks for Serving

In the Army you are not allowed to go home between Basic and AIT unless you have a family emergency or something like that.
I don't know about the other branches?

As far as the Navy goes..you get liberty, which means you don't get to go home. This is basically two days that you can go with your family for a few hours, or head to Chicago.
But not a "leave" to actually go home.

except you have spoken to a army Recruiter already, taken the ASVAB and characteristic the settlement to be a HM be arranged to no longer be one. you're a woman, at present the female element of HM is overmanned so as that they are allowing in user-friendly terms some each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days or no longer allowing them in any respect. This includes the two medical and dental aspects. given which you're woman if for some reason you do get HM you will no longer inevitably be on the Marine section except in dental or a particular branch the place you will possibly be stationed at a medical institution on a Marine base. Standardly in user-friendly terms men are allowed to bypass to the FMF as you will possibly be deployed with them. women are no longer allowed in attempt against the place Marines bypass. i understand 2 females that do artwork at Marine bases one in a medical institution the different in a dental health facility so which you will possibly be stationed there, you in user-friendly terms can't be stationed with a Marine Unit itself.
