Then if God does know all, why does he allow murder? He's guilty of sin by inaction.

If God already knows what we'll do *before* we do it, then we have no choice to make, ergo no freewill.

If God already knows what we'll do, then creates the illusion of freewill, and then uses that freewill as a basis to judge us on... what's the freakin' point of that?

(ow, my head hurts)

God does know everything and saying mankind has freewill is not saying God is Omnipotant

God gave us free will as a punishment.

After Adam fell, God was angry and at that very moment life changed and everything that inhabited the earth changed. Adam and Eve became 'aware' (of their nakedness); there was no death - so everything began aging. God gave women birth pangs with pregnancy; strife between man and woman.

God is so beyond "huge" that He knew everything (even our free will acts) before He lifted a finger and created us. Also, let's be clear - it's not a giant finger He used; He created us with His word - that's how uncomprehensible He is.

You should consider buying an 'easy reader' bible like The Message or Amplified Bible. You can't love what you don't understand.

Good luck & God bless

Just because God is Omnipotent does not mean that he exherts his control at all times.

For example, if it is a mother's desire that her child learns to clean his room on his own, it is necessary that she stop cleaning the child's room and give the child a chance to clean the room on his own.

Now it is the mother's will that the room be clean, but it is also the mother's will that the child clean the room of his own free will.

This invites the possibility that the child will disobey, leaving the room in a state that is against the will of the mother, but it was necessary for this condition to exist so that the mother's greater will (the growth of a child that would develop the ability to clean his room on his own) could be accomplished.

You can look at the broken, bruised state of our world today as a giant messy room - it is not God's will that we live this way: hurting one another, opressing and abusing one another, committing crimes against each other... but God allows it because he wants us to freely choose to do what is right and to freely choose to love him.

Do you see what I mean?

Hang on...God gave man freewill (and free willy lol!). My only problem is that he gave freewill to the Muslims and look what they are doing with it - there's MUST be a different God. My God knows EVERYTHING...even the perfect answer to this question.

Maybe God knows what your are going to do and just lets you do it with your free will, Kenny. I think God was probably sitting back laughing at the people who wrote the Bible saying "what are these people doing. Should I offer some suggestions? Nah."

It is true that man has free will, But God knows the future.
He has written in the book of Life the name of everyone who would be saved. This book was written from the foundation of the Earth.

Does God regret some of his actions? See Rainbows
God created man with free will to see if he would be worshiped for his own being.
I don't get the know everything either!

Dude.

As I'm sure SOMEONE has explained to you, God's omnipotence doesn't negate our freewill. He doesn't CAUSE us to sin - He ALLOWS us to CHOOSE to sin.

Just because you KNOW your kid's going to sneak & get a cookie the moment your back is turned, doesn't mean you CAUSED him to do it. He CHOSE to steal the cookie.

I like to thing GOD gives you the choice to exercise free will of thought. He creates you with a destiny in mind, then the choices you make determine your actual fate.

If you believe God knows everything... how is that a requirement that s/he do someting about what s/he knows? Free will in no way limits omnipotance.
