ok im 13 and i just got my first bf my dad flips and spys on me and wont let me go anywhere . . .how do i tell him i just want to get the no the guy and not make out with him or something. sure he gives me hugs and i prolly will hold his hand. . . .sooo what! im in highschool. and yes im the oldest so i guess my dad cant except im gettin older. help i need advice. . .i should be excited about my bf but my dad ruins it. :(

Has your dad meet your bf maybe you two need too meet at your house for a while and let dad get to know him and you have to understand that your dad loves you when he is doing the spying thing and also you are always going to be daddy's little girl even when you are 31.

Sweetheart I had the same problem as you you can talk to your dad all you want and he still will be this way for a while My advice is not to focus on it to much because eventually he will accept the fact that you are a women. Have fun when you are out with your boyfriend focus on him and you and that is it. These are the growing pains in a relationship. My dad was the same way. Now I am engaged to be married and my father loves the guy I am marrying. Just give it time and be patient. Good luck sweetie.

You know the best way to make your dad feel comfortable is by helping his confidence grow. You are 13 so you are really young. Do things in a way that is beyond 13 years. This will make him feel that you matured and can take care of yourself. Slowly but surely he will let you do your thing. But being a daughter....you know it. You will always be daddy's girl. be honest with dad... dont argue .. just tell him you need a little freedom and compromise with him if possible... maybe a date to the skating rink or meet at the mall somthing innocent... but if you intend on lying to dear old dad and really intend to go farther or lie about where you are at etc then dont even do it .. he will find out ... you have to earn trust a little at a time .. he is doing the right thing ...being a parent and you are just being a teen girl, not either one of you are at fault... but also keep in mind that dad knows how the mind of these little boys can be....

You are 13!! To young to have a boyfriend!! My daughter is 14! and she doesn't even have a boyfriend! She do sent even want a boyfriend!! You shouldn't be thinking about having a boyfriend at your age. Sure its OK to think someone is cute, but nothing more!! Your dad is smart!! You should go and hug him! He loves you and is concerned!! You have your whole life later to have as many boyfriends as you want!! Try and focus on your grades in school and control your hormones!!! You are only 13!!

its not the bf...its the possibility of you having SEX with the bf. include your dad in what your doing..watch tv or play board games, he will back off a tad. but until you graduate high school and get married he will always be right behind you watching

Tell him to stay outta your life, then run to your room, slam the door, and have your boyfriend sneak through the window late at night! That's what my girlfriend did when I was 13, so it should work for you as well.
