Do you show your disappointment? Or do you just sigh and say- "Nevermind"?

If it is a good friend then I'd say "that's it!! No more jokes for you....you're on a time out until you remember how to tell a joke!"

Just tell them they'll remember the punch line later, then change the subject so the person doesn't feel embarrassed.

Punch him in the arm and say "hey did you hear the one about the guy who didn't finish the joke, and his friend punched him so hard in the arm that it fell off? Idiot."

I wouldn't care. Even if I did I'd be nice about it. it's not their fault.

it could happen to anyone and it does happen regularly, people just forget. so dont be dissapointed, it doesnt really matter. dont make him/her feel bad...

its your friend you laugh with them. if you dont laugh it off you could embarass them and a friend wouldn't do that.
