People react that way because it is one of the last social "taboos" and it scares them.

They are sick and messed up in the head. YES that's right! Men are men and women are women. Just because a woman wears a tshirt and jeans doesn't make her a crossdresser. Those men have probably had serious emotional abuse/neglect of some sort. YES there is a reason for it, some rendom guy doesn't all of the sudden just say hey I feel like putting on a dress today! These people (crossdressers) have issues!!!

Ok. There are more guys who don't wear dresses than those who do. Seeing a male in a dress is definately going to draw attention. There are lots of women who wear a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. There's nothing ironic about that. Now, going out in public seeing a guy with a load of facial hair, wearing a dress is definately going to make the average person crack up/judge the guy.
My opinion on crossdressers.. well they should realized that everyone is not going to understand why they feel comfortable in dresses. So I think that they shouldn't go out expecting everyone to just act normal about it. IT WILL DRAW NEGATIVE ATTENTION. PERIOD.
Maybe they had a bad childhood.

I don't want to judge anybody - not cross-dressers or anybody.
But, women wear slacks and tee shirts, as you say, because they are made for women. Cut for women.
There are no dresses, high heels, blouses cut and sold for men.
Women in jeans and tee shirts are not cross dressing.
Men, even in women's clothing and makeup are not pretty. They either look like prostitutes, (drag queens) or men in costume (cross dressers and transvestites) Its an oddity - no matter how hard a man tries to disguise as a woman, there is always that little something that gives them away - Adam's apple, big hands, big feet, whatever...
I don't confuse cross dressers as gay - I know most of them aren't. But though I try to be open minded, accepting - it doesn't mean I have to find them attractive, or well hidden.
Countessa: Way too much information!

I could care less what any man want to wear. I do however draw the line at dating a cross dresser myself,(What if he looked better in women's clothes then I do) I have a friend who's husband like to wear women clothes in the house and she is fine with it. I say mind your business unless it affecting you.

I could care less if a dude wants to wear a dress who cares. Seriosly do we not have more important things in this world to worry about then some guy in heals. Why is it sick because it's different. Diversity is what makes the world go round!!!!

To each their own. Everyone is so concerned with whats going on in our neighbors yard, that no one bothers to fix their own. When you are 100% perfect, then I think that's the time when you get to judge other people. In the mean time, leave it alone.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with it. Whatever floats your boat hey. I think freedom of expression is a wonderful thing. People dye their hair, peirce their noses, wear turtlenecks. Cool. I think we need to start looking at ourselves before we put judgement on anyone elses decisions.

that's true. not every crossdresser has to be perverted or sick, it's just the way our society's made and we tend to judge people who aren't considered 'normal' to be 'weird.' what people don't know scares them. it's a fact. i don't know any crossdressers personally, but im just trying to sound fair.
