Your opinion on the supernatural please?

Okay so here goes, please read all,

My Dad works for a Police Force as a detective and will rarely resort to using a medium for help with strange cases. This particular medium works for free with the Police Force.

After visiting an unsolved case my dad asked this medium if she may have some info about his dad that died within the last two years. She asked if my dad had any of his personal belongings on him and my dad said yes, he wore his ring after his death. The medium took it and began.

She 1st said that my grandfather wanted to know why my dad no longer wore his watch that he left behind, which my dad just stopped wearing a month b4. Then she said that he was happy about the things we put into his casket with him (including toy pig), and then she said that he also wants you to know that he was with you the entire day at the FIRST ever family BBQ and pig roast and that he was smiling all day. She also said many other things that were family only info...

I understand that things taht are not projected through God may not be pure things....but how can something that is so "bang" on, and bring soo much happiness to those who hear it, be "evil". If you belive in the Lord as I do, and are put into this situation......what would you think......?

What I failed to mention is that my family is few and far between.....my grandfather always wanted to have a family BBQ and Pig Roast but died b4 it was ever even considered. In his honour we had one in the summer 6-7 months after he died....there is no way in anyone knowing that we did this, and it is not a normal occurance in our family for a so called "medium" to even guess something like that.

That and the fact that my brother put a toy pig in his casket with him, and him mentioning taht to the medium to relay to my dad......how would someone that is fake pull something like that outta their hat?

For those of you that are reliogious.....this is what I wanna know...."How ould you feel about this.....?"

Well, before speaking with a person here on YA, I would have dismissed it (as I have done for years with my mom's "ghost stories"). I would have said that it was demons come to deceive you into believing that it was your grandfather's words. Why would they do that when it brought joy and peace to your father...? Because they are giving your father what he wants to hear, and he may then be open to other deceptions they wish to bring to him. You deceive with good news, not bad (satan often appears as an angel of light). But recently my eyes have been opened to different ways of seeing things. Let's say that a person dies. The Bible speaks of them sleeping. Could that represent the body sleeping while the spirit enters God's presence for judgement? Let's say they have (in whatever way, whether it be that they were a good enough person, or whether they received Jesus as their saviour, or whether they acted in whatever way a true religion would allow for salvation) an eternity in God's presence. Could it be that those spirits are able to travel, perhaps? And could it be that they may return to earth as a spirit, or at least communicate with a spirit on earth (through a medium's spirit perhaps)? Some people say that "when you are in heaven you will just be in God's presence and praise Him forever". I truly disagree with this. The Bible teaches that we will judge angels, and that we will "reign with Christ". These two statements indicate far more than joining a heavenly choir for ever and ever, amen... The Bible speaks of spiritual war. Paul went through a hard time for a while because an angel was trying to get to him but was hindered by an evil spirit. All this shows more and more that (according to the Bible at least) there is a spirit realm where spirits must travel, they may be detained, probably fight...who knows if they can wound or kill another spirit. Thus it is my belief that yes, a spirit can communicate from the spirit world to our world, and it very well could have been your grandfather comforting your father. I do not find it incompatible with the Bible.

There is no such a thing as supernatural. Everything is natural. Only because some people do not understand something it does not mean that it is un-natural, and even less, that it may be evil.

Your dad was lucky to have come across a good medium. For every good one, there are dozens who are dishonest. Just like in any other area of life. Dishonesty is a feature of human kind.

A genuine gift of mediumship, or any other spiritual gifts, are given to a few people who earned it. The Soul dimension is more real than the physical one. But the physical world is a test of people's abilities and strength, in relation to which the Soul dimension are the onlookers, sometimes helpers, and possibly even guides.

The Souls of loved ones tend to oversee the path of those who they left behind, wishing them well, and occasionally joining in with the fun, like at your dad's BBQ.

Institutions and individuals who intimidate people with the view of dicouraging them from exploring the link with the Soul dimension have an ulterior motive. Most often, they worry about losing their own wordly power and influence. Once more, human nature... showing itself sometimes at its worst.

There is so much people need to learn.
I believe God since I was four. ALSO I SEEN ghost and spirits then too.

What this lady has is a Gift, I know a lady just like her.

I have a gift too, that's becoming stronger at times, it's Spiritual, it's good not evil. I either see or feel ghost from earth, Spirits from Heaven, I even felt God's presence once and felt what he said to me. I have dreams that sometimes come true. I sense bad things just before it comes my way. I feel, sense what spirits and ghost are thinking, people too.
Sometimes while I sleep, MY Spirit feels and senses ghost or Spirits in my room if they come near, I know where and what their doing as if I can see them, and know what they are thinking. sometimes they will wake me up, and sometimes I can see them. sometimes they will speak to me. I never go or try to communicate with them, they come to me, they are usually nice Spirits. And it's connected to my prayers to God, Jesus, especially if I pray for protection or guidance. prayers are spiritual, these Spirits can hear cause they are spiritual, like God. We all have our gifts, and that's what these are if you use them the right way:) If your aura is large due to prayers and a compassionate heart, it gives off more of a glow, Spirits and ghost are attracted to this glow.
These things have been in my family for a long time, it's in the blood.

There are so many religions that ALL profess to be the only true one. The religion you follow tells you not to contact spirits because you can't be sure if they are good or bad spirits - however it also gives accounts of spirit contact - thus validating their existence. I think the real warning is to not put your FAITH in the spirits. Kind of like the Guardian Angle craze a few years ago. People that would be embarrassed to say they love God had no problem saying they had a guardian angle - thus falling into angle worship.

You have been given a gift..accept it for what it is. Your GF is watching over you all and still loving you just as he did in life. You know what it proves? That love never dies. That some tiny part of us survives and our life wasn't in vane. You are lucky! Who cares what anyone else thinks or says because down deep, where it counts...you know that your Gf is still with you. Open your mind and your heart...feel him with you. That is the love. Keep it always! Don't let the christians influence you. They are too scared and closed minded to see what God ment for them all along! To love and be loved, that it never really dies. If things are evil, believe me you'll know. Talk to your GF because he can hear you! Let him know he is loved and not forgotten. God wants us to be happy and he gives us the gifts to do it if we just listen! Good luck to you. First, i assume we'd want to consistently outline it. An order of existence previous the seen, observable universe. performing to go beyond the rules of nature. Having to do with gods, spirits, demons, & such. fairly, the supernatural might want to go beyond the rules of nature. That being stated, there are quite some issues taking position in our international as I style this that look of the supernatural yet are easily the doings of gifted minds. I see this stuff as part of our evolutionary advance, to develop into part of our technology. those issues that are of the supernatural are from different planes of existence; those who play round with issues they don't comprehend oftentimes open portals, and some human beings 'see' issues, and that i assume they see us. certain, there are different universes as well this one; their rules are supernatural to us.

when you think about the good work mediums do .. the words of love they bring through ... even down to solving murder cases for free

I think there is diffently more to this world then just us. There are and have been TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many people who walk this earth to just cease to exist after we die. I feel there IS another world beyond this one. maybe it is a world soooo close that we can sometimes SEE them and feel them and THEY can interact with us. but then again there are a LOT of tricks out there to disclose information and use it for other purposes. So in the end, there is ONLY one way to know for sure and thats when we die. Has anyone heard from Harry houndii yet? lol

Cool story, has to be some truth to all this right?
I had a dream Saturday night about an old boyfriend, only dated a short time but we had an intense connection. I hadn't seen him nor spoke to him in over 15 years. In my dream he was behind the counter of a store, I simply looked up and thought there he is, he's gotten old. We didn't speak nor even make eye contact.

Woke up to read in the Sunday paper that he fell over dead Saturday morning. A massive heart attack at the age of 41. Sigh....

I would like to think that he was just telling me he was Ok. Who knows.......................

I don't think there is any evil about it in any way, shape or form. God created our world and all worlds, how can that be bad???? Besides have you ever read any stories from people that truly believe an angel helped them. Gives ya chills, in a good way.

I think that there may be some ways to tell, through Gods help. Because that isn't just lucky guesswork. It is not entirely impossible, but rarely do you come across a phycic that doesnt guess, though your dad might have the real thing.
