I have been losing sleep for a while.
Now my right eye is quite puffy, and it hurts like its a bruise. Some told me to put warm tea bags on it, others said put cold packs on it. What should I do?

Sleep.

It's as simple as that. Your body is telling you it can no longer rest peacefully and rebelling from the strain. Ice packs and all are just patches for an underlying problem -- sleep deprivation.

Schedule a day just to stay in bed. No shame involved, as the consequences to your overall health in not getting a good nights sleep is deadly. Then take time outs, naps work if you're a very busy person, but it's still no substitute for a good night rest.

Puffy eyes are caused mostly by stress. Drink a lot of water, less sugar, take a regular walk and most importantly, make sure you get enough sleep at night.

You might have "pink eye" or other eye ailment. Loss of sleep can be a reason too.

Try to sleep. Try not to rub your eyes. Go see the doctor.

I get hives from stress. I get hives on my eyes, and they can become swollen shut. I take an anti-histamine -- the drowsy type. It helps me sleep AND it helps rid my body of histamines. You might have allergies . . .

i be responsive to this sounds extraordinary yet dabbing hemorrhoid ointment around the eyes (careful to no longer get in!) will help. it brings down the swelling. it is going to additionally help with dark circles.
