The devil possesses you through temptation. Like for instance, you wanted to take money from someone in your family. Then your conscience starts going on. Usually, the devil in you takes control and does things to harm you physically and spiritually

Evil thought and actions are from the devil, and if you did nothing to fight it off when you were confronted, then you let the devil posess, you. You let the devil into your temple. So now you have got to get rid of it. Ask God to protect you from the devil. So your answer is both. The devil came to you and you let it. So get rid of the damned thing NOW. It's sad that you have no spiritual insight of what's going on in your life!....to answer your question: the devil influences, direct, and leads you ....what's so sad is....you have no idea of what's going on!......I suggest you seek a GOD Anointed & Appointed Pastor/Minister to teach you and help you understand the things that go on in the "spirit realm"!.....after all, that's why GOD placed them into His ministry! (Eph. 4: 11-15).....
