On NBC News they showed a clip of a predator plane spying on a Al Qaida funeral with about 100 terrorists attending. Apparently the military chose not to bomb the funeral (rules of engagement), so as not to upset the terrorists. Would you have pulled the trigger?

All of the people that answered yes to this would not only have put me as a member of the Army at a bigger risk, but would also be no different than the enemy.

What makes America America and not like the enemy, is the fact that we have morals, ethics, and a sense of decency.

Sure the enemy plays dirty, but that doesn't mean that we have to. If we did, that would give the rest of the world a legitimate excuse to hate us, and why do that? That is the reason that they do hate us. They hate us because we are powerful and mostly go by the rules.

This all goes back to the "If he jumped off the cliff, would you follow him?"

what would the terrorists have done? they have NO honor or respect for other people should we be the same? hopefully they see that bit of news and think maybe all americans are not as bad as they thought. but i doubt it. if there was no innocent people and civilians in the area and i was absolutely sure that these were the terrorists, then i would pull the trigger...

No, as much as you think it may be right, it could be the end of your career and even prison time. Yes, I know, terrorist do not use rules of engagement. That is what seperates us from them.

Another reason you do not pull the trigger is because there could be a greater value to not. Here is an anology that explains what I mean. You go outside your home and you see ants all over your front walk. Do you just spray them? No, you watch them, you follow them, and you find the colony. Then you spray them at the colony to take them all out. Just jumping into action is not always the best answer. How many boxers have you seen win a match by going out and swinging wildly?

In a heart beat. The bomb would have left the terrorist with 100 less!

And yes I have been in combat and have been fired at more times than I can count. Proud Nam vet!

Good question...did the Predator have some missiles onboard already???

I guess I may have...they were after all either terrorists or terrorist supporters who are mourning a fellow terrorist...

To Abrams tanker...good point but do remember that essentially the world (or a significant percentage of it) hates America anyways...

If al-Quedas are relatively everywhere, who's responsible? The Bush administration, the remarkable Wing Media and anybody who had performed up the lies of Saddam's WMDS to distract and meltdown the worldwide of united international locations from coming to connect us in our combat against the al-Quedas immediately after 9/11. Please, they allowed all those international locations, the place the 9/11 terrorists orginatewd, to be free of interrogation! The international locations with homegrown al-Quedas have too many interior the White abode and the Congress to shield them to the detriment of the yank Public.

YES, The first flyover ditch Napalm on them, then leave them screaming for at least 10 minutes before finally taking them out with a daisy cutter.
All this must be videoed and released before next Christmas on DVD. It would be a great Christmas present don't you think.

scoobyd3 and Abrams Tanker are right. BTW most of those who answered yes are probably never been in the military or in combat. Lets ask the question again if they been and they have a bit more inside.
