I don't know that I believe him ... not that anything else he says is true. haha. sorry Ed. Anyway... Can I call his bluff and smack him?

Also! We were on the phone, and he said he was outside and he squirted WD-40 all over the spider. You think it's dead or dying? Would that have killed it. I know NOTHING about spiders .... except Arachnids, yeah .... because I've never really CARED to know. But .... yeah. anyway .... help me? I'd really like a good website I can show him as well to prove him wrong. If he is.

All spiders use a unique form of mating, in which the male transfers sperm to the female using specially modified appendages near the mouth, called pedipalps. Because of this, it is easy to tell what sex a spider is: Female spiders have pedipalps which look like short legs, whereas male pedipalps look like "boxing gloves".

Here you go. There are male and female spiders. If you want to find another website do a search for "reproduction in spiders". So you can smack him ;-)

Basically, sometimes while the female is getting screwed(the female is larger than the male), the male gets screwed while they are mating because she sometimes decides to eat them(only certain spiders like the black widow), but the male keeps mating until he is totally eating, like if she bites her head off.

Spiders are definitely not asexual. The female KILLS the male after he "services" her. Tell Ed that he's lucky that (most) humans don't do this!
