I just changed from purina beneful to royal canin and my 3 month old pit bull seems to love it, and he would only eat beneful when he was starving

Royal Canin is NO WHERE near in the list of the 10 best foods. It's okay, better then Iams, Ol Roy, Science Diet, etc but obviously you and none of the other posters have looked into pet nutrition and foods that are actually good for your dog.

The highest quality foods on the market include: Innova, Karma, California Natural, Wellness, Solid Gold, Merrick, Canidae, Wysong, Evolve, Fromm, etc. These foods are considerably better then Royal Canin as they use whole, fresh, human grade ingredients and do not contain the fillers and by-products used by the Royal Canin company.

I'm glad to hear you switched from Beneful as that food was probably just making your dog extremely unhealthy which would mean huge vet bills in the near future. My only concern is that if you were trying to switch to a better food, you probably should have consulted someone who deals in pet nutrition.

A word to the wise...do not list to vets and breeders (at least the majority...not all) as they do not receive nutrition training required to understand the benefits of feeding a truly high quality food. And on the side there is also the fact that breeders receive significants perks from companies as do vets if they use their foods.

there is more to pet nutrition then you think so just be cautious.

I use the Royal Canin for Large Breeds, I have three dogs and I buy this brand as it is best for my Lab who suffers allergies, other foods make it worse for him, my other two dogs a Bouvier and a Terrier X can eat anything with no allergic reactions.

I have been feeding Royal Canin Sensible Choice for quite some time and am very happy with it. I am very picky about my dogs food and have spent alot of time reading and studying label.

yappalot - I'd read the contents of your Science Diet.

that is not a good food . Look at the Ingredients (example chicken meal and not chicken meat meal , gluten meal ect..)

It can cost allergies if you have a sensitive dog. I would go for Nutro , Canidae ,Solid Gold ,Timberwolf ect..start to look what it is inside the food
i personally feed the b.a.r.f. diet since some month
