I will be singing at my uncle's memorial service at a small Baptist church in the south. I'd like to keep it simple and sing a hymn accapella. Other than Amazing Grace, what hymn should I choose?

I recently had to sing at my Uncle's memorial service and I sang "It is Well with My Soul". I really like that song and it was well received. God Bless you, I know this is hard thing.

When I get where I'm going by Dolly Parton and Brad Paisley

When I get where I'm going
On the far side of the sky
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly
I'm gonna land beside a lion
And run my fingers through his mane
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop of rain

Chorus:

Yeah when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
I will shed the sins and struggles
I have carried all these years
And I'll leave my heart wide open
I will love and have no fear
Yeah when I get where I'm going
Don't cry for me down here

I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
Then I'll hug his neck

Repeat chorus

So much pain and so much darkness
In this world we stumble through
All these questions I can't answer
So much work to do

But when I get where I'm going
And I see my maker's face
I'll stand forever in the light
Of his amazing grace
Yeah when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
Hallelujah
I will love and have no fear
When I get where I'm going
Yeah when I get where I'm going

ok before everything, are you attempting to sing intense notes even as u recognize u won't be able to bypass too intense or attempt to sing fairly low and u recognize u cant? it really is what ensue to me. i began making a track at 6 and all those years I save telling those that i will't sing because I consistently tried to sing like Dolly Parton or Teresa Teng even as i recognize i will't hit those intense notes so my voice cracks. i'm now 19 yet I comprehend when I turn 16 that i'm a tenor and bass singer and certain i'm woman! i attempted to sing Elvis songs or Karen chippie which she develop right into a alto yet I sing acceptable when I making a track their songs! this is because I sing with a decrease voice!! attempt to sing on your convenience zone

I agree with the second person.

People who are reminded of a song your uncle liked will probably be touched by it.
