Yeh I'm Atheist and I think the Pope rocks over this. He's a brave man and will probably get blown to pieces over it.They seem to not like hearing the truth very much.Isn't the cult of the suicide bomber ridiculous.Blowing yourself up for someone you've never even seen or will ever meet in this life or the next.Complete loony tunes the lot of em.If they want to blow themselves up to get closer to their 'god',take em out into a big field and bomb the bastards.

I don't think "Jewish Girl" understands the whole story. I just left a question about this. The Pope was NOT judging! He was simply reading "scripture" from some Islamic writing. Stating that religion should not be used as a validation for violence. OK, yeah, I know, Catholics and the Middle Ages. But people we have come OUT of the Middle Ages, well, maybe not the Muslims.

What the Pope said can have three meanings basically.
1) A warn and an invite to western civilization to get closer to christianity as a way to peacefully fight the colonization of Islam
2) A sublte call to those who are getting fed up of muslims to begin to counter attack (in political and social terms) their invasion
3) A warn to muslims to stop their arrogance and their colonizing attitude.
It's also a reply to those millions of catholics around the world whom are getting fed up of muslim intrusivity.
One more thing i would like to point out is that those who intervene in here often provide a judgment on muslims only based on their neighbour, friends, boyfriends or on the fact that they "never saw muslims being intolerant".
Now, that's a wrong and very narrow minded way to look a the problem.
When talking about muslims we have to analyse the thing under different aspects
- What are the differences in the behaviour of muslims immigrates from country to country (the way they behave in the US is not the same they behave in UK, Germany, Italy, France and in their home countries, where they really show what they are up to)
- Are we sure we are the intolerant (I have seen actions or racisms and stonings to death coming from whole huge muslim communities in Pakistan Egypt, Turkey just to mention a few and that's not a minority)
- Be able to separate what muslims say from muslims do in actual fact and be able to quantify the amount of actions they commit globally not only in your neighbourhood. It's easy to find a peaceful muslim in a nation that kicks you off or sentences you to death if you do something wrong but look at them where they have more freedom (go to France, go to UK, go to Italy to see they pissing on the walls of catholic churches).
Now, the Pope is very much aware of this all. He can't say THEY ARE INVADING US LET'S FIGHT THEM......He simply warns people to be careful.
We're going towards a civilization clash, pace be on those who still think we should not be careful with them overall.
As an Italian, i can see how they, when given too much freedom and adequate in number, immediately begin to claim for "muslim" things and strongly pretend those things. A culture specialized in deceiving and making time while getting close to the target.

If a human being say something bad about someone , Indeed this one is not affected with these bad words and this will not change a thing .
THE prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the greatest man people ever have.
He is the mercy of mankind .
He's The teacher who taught people how to worship God the way God's likes.
The man who did his best and tolerate a lot to let us out of the darkness of unbelieving and sins to the brightness and light of belief , faith and obedience..
It's just the blindness and deafness that some people suffer from so they cant recognise things as they are.

Writes like the Pope is a Christian. I think He is right on too. I have a lot of respect for Him right now.
But, the church needs to back Him up in prayer.

well to be honest most religions are a rip off of some other faith. Christianity isn't original at all either so i think the pope's "quotes" were hypocrisy

Totally off point and totally incorrect. Muhammad didn't preach the spreading of Islam through the sword. He has lead several wars, but that was because he and his new muslim community were attacked by the pagan Arabs of that time. The term "Jihad" is very much missunderstood. It doesn't mean "Holy War", but it's the struggle we fight within ourselves to reject evil. Another form of Jihad is the spreading of knowledge about our religion through education. The word for a military campaign in Arabic is ghazwa.

No. Muslims are too easy to piss off. I'd rather see the pope piss off some more challenging people. Then you know he's really trying!
