no. anything in your car that can become loose and a dangerous projectile in a crash is not safe.

they probably have caused some accidents, best advice turn the gizmo's off hang up and drive. you are always at risk from unsecured cargo and belongings in any accident and suction cups are not a reliable securing device plus it may interfere In a air bag deployment, i know that i dont want a gps unit blown into my face.

Well, I defininately would not mount the GPS over your airbag!

There is always a risk if you get into an accident, it may become a loose projectile.
