I just read that the Muslims are now upset by something the POPE said. What he was saying made a great deal of sense, considering the events taking place in our world. He was rejecting using religion as a reason for violence. He made this statement ,while quoting something from an Islamic profit of yesteryear. Why do the Islamic/Muslims get so upset about this, when it's known, that before they go on a rampage and kill or when they are trying to rouse up the Islamic "masses", they claim that it's "God's will" ....When they are protesting in the streets and blowing people up, they are yelling "God is Great, God is Good"...Do they even have a clue what they are saying? They are using God to do their "dirty work". The Pope was simply saying, religion shouldn't be used as a source of viloence(and YES, I know what the Catholics did in the Middle ages, but this is NOT the Middle Ages). When will the Muslims stop looking for reasons to kill? I'm really baffled. Anyone have an answer?

You are dealing withfanaticism that leaves no room for any other ideas, religious, rational or otherwise. This will continue until there are sufficient moderate islamists to put an end to (or at least curb) the violence.

It seems like I keep answering this same question (and a couple of others) over and over. Islam is essentially antichrist. The growing wave of terror and violence that we see surging out of Islam right now is only going to increase, as the days ahead grow darker. This is a spiritual thing, not merely religious as the Pope has indicated, and as many seem to think.

We are headed toward the "end of the world as we know it." Not to quote REM or anything. Seriously. The Bible has foretold thousands of years ago that the end would come, and what it would look like when it gets here. There are prophesies such as the return of the Jewish people to their homeland of Israel that signal the end is near. For 2000 years, the Jewish people have been scattered throughout the whole earth (that was prophesied and fulfilled) and they have become a nation once again. There is nothing like this that has happened in the history of the entire world. This one event (and it is a massive one, for instance - what if you tried to organize such a massive undertaking - there are millions of people involved in this migration to Israel) fulfills so much prophecy found in the Old Testament. And the thing about it is, all other end time prophecy is "hinged" upon it.

People either want to ignore it, or else completely take no notice of it. This is partially because no one pays attention to the Bible anymore. It also says that the spirit of antichrist would rise. Islam is expressly antichrist in every concept of the word. That is why they want to blow Israel off the map, and that is why they want to destroy what they view to be "Christian civilization" (that's us believe it or not).

I tell people that the only true security they can have in the days ahead is to have their hearts in Jesus Christ, and to have Him as their eternal Lord and Savior. Why? Because to believe that George Bush, or Condi Rice, or Kofi Annan, or the leaders of the EU are going to protect you is a total fantasy. They can't do it.

Let me ask this. What is actually being done about Iran right now? Nothing. Do you know why? Because we are that close to WWIII right now. We are on the brink. There are no answers as to how this world-wide situation can be defused. But Americans especially like to watch their T.V.'s and do their nails or play their video games, and act like it will all go away. Still living in the pre-9/11 dreamland of, "everything is going to be O.K."

The Bible says, "In the last days, perilous times shall come...but evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse (more prevalent) deceiving and being deceived." (II Timothy 3:1&13)

Islam is deceiving, and they are deceived.

It baffles me to see how many people in the religion and spirituality forum of this website don't believe in God, or practice some kind of witchcraft or believe in evolution. It blows my mind to see how much this nation has changed in just the last 30 years. But it all is necessary somehow as we approach the end. It was also prophesied that there would be a "falling away" first, or an apostacy - people turning away from the Lord. (II Thess. 2:3) This is also a prophetic indicator.

That's the doom and gloom report. The good news is, Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so that we can have life and survive the coming wrath and destruction. He wants everyone to be saved, but He can only work with people that are willing to work with Him. The first step is that you must be born-again. This happens by believing in Jesus Christ that He is the Savior sent from God, and then confessing His Lordship with your mouth. (Romans 10:9&10) He has a better life that He wants to give to everyone.

You are right. They are unreasonable and do not have a clue because they are in darkness. They are deceived and there in no negotiating with these type of people. It doesn't matter what we say or do, they want all non-Muslims dead, period. Unfortunately the only way to deal with them in the world scene is to kill them before they kill us. They only respect strength and action. Talk means weakness to them. We also can pray that the true God of heaven will open their eyes.

Too bad he didn't condemn Israel, the US & Britain for using religion to justify violence.

Why single out Muslims when Jews & Christians are just as guilty, if not more so?

Oh, that's right, calling Jews (Israelis) out for their wanton destruction and violence is "anti-Semitism," but when it's Muslims, it's "righteous anger." (or something similar)

God spoke over Ishmael that he would be the father of many nations, and that he would be an *** of men, and the whole world would be against him, and he would be against the whole world. God has spoken.
