If you are not sweating, you are probably not working out hard enough.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

By being alive you burn calories. You stop burning calories when you die. Your body is a giant chemical reaction that starts with burning calories for energy.

Do you burn as many calories than you would if you were doing something more strenuous that would make you sweat? No. Do you burn more than sitting on your couch watching TV? Yes.

you burn calories all the time no matter what you are doing. in fact, it's been shown that you burn more calories sleeping than watching tv. but if you want to burn more calories, then sweating is usually a good sign. it's an indicator that your muscles are using lots of energy and have raised your core temperature, which your brain has in turn tried to decrease by producing sweat.

Breathing burns calories... Eating burns calories... So of course you burn calories when you walk... the reason you are not sweating is that maybe your heart rate hasn't increased enough to get your core body temp. up... But you are constantly burning calories... even when you are sleeping... All the processes in your body need energy to work... and calories are that energy...

The body is always burning calories, even in your sleep...however, the more exercise you do the more you burn... sweating doesn't mean you are burning any more, it is just the body's natural way to keep cool...sweating only dehydrates the body.
