I am not saying you have to believe in God, but even science and past records show it happen.
What do you think?

Other examples of extra-Biblical confirmation of Biblical events:
Campaign into Israel by Pharaoh Shishak (1 Kings 14:25-26), recorded on the walls of the Temple of Amun in Thebes, Egypt.
Revolt of Moab against Israel (2 Kings 1:1; 3:4-27), recorded on the Mesha Inscription.
Fall of Samaria (2 Kings 17:3-6, 24; 18:9-11) to Sargon II, king of Assyria, as recorded on his palace walls.
Defeat of Ashdod by Sargon II (Isaiah 20:1), as recorded on his palace walls.
Campaign of the Assyrian king Sennacherib against Judah (2 Kings 18:13-16), as recorded on the Taylor Prism.
Siege of Lachish by Sennacherib (2 Kings 18:14, 17), as recorded on the Lachish reliefs.
Assassination of Sennacherib by his own sons (2 Kings 19:37), as recorded in the annals of his son Esarhaddon.

In the 1980's is saw a magazine article on this topic. I believe it was Life (maybe Time)magazine. They had photographs of a structure on a mountain in Turkey that they believed was the remains of Noah's ark. They were taken from an airplane, so they were quite far away, but still recognizable as a large boat like structure. Unfortunately, the mountain is located in an unstable area and the Turkish government will not allow anyone on the mountain. I do hope that one day this area will be opened up for archaeologists to explore and confirm the existence of the Ark. More recently, PBS did a special program on a man named Bruce Fieler who traveled to this area. He spoke with a local Turkish man that lives on the mountain and claims to know the location of what he says is the Ark.

You think that the story of Noah's ark is true because someone claims to have found a piece of wood on top of a mountain in the Middle East?
Apparently, there is no other possible way for a piece of wood to get there. It simply MUST have been from Noah's ark. Why? Because the Bible says so.
Get real. No true scientist would ever claim that a piece of wood on a mountainside could only have come from a mythical giant boat that contained two animals of every species. There are simply too many alternate (and more likely) possibilities for its source.

Yeah, that must have been quite a trip -- all those animals on the big ship, with not enough food (some animals have special diets), and no water or toilet facilities. Sounds lovely. And then when Noah docked the boat, what did he find? Corpses scattered everywhere -- that is, after all of that water miraculously evaporated. And then how did the animals return to their native lands? Yup, that's really believable.

"but even science and past records show it happen."
Fine then post some scientific references that corroborate Noah's Ark.
There are 5 million species of insect alone!
What about all of the food needed for the animals?
How about all of the fresh water organisms (fish, crustaceans, amphibians). Did Noah's Ark come with aquariums too?
How about fresh drinking water? Was there a desalinization unit on board?
Biology 101 will show that a single female and male of a species could not repopulate a species. The second generation would be caused by inbreeding which would result in inviable offspring.

You're completely mistaken. You're apparently getting your science from Leonard Nimoy or some such non-scientist.
There is NO scientific evidence for a world wide flood.
Since civilizations tend to establish themselves near a reliable source of water, there's not much mystery why many civilizations have folklore relating to a flood. It would be surprising if they didn't.
As for finding the ark, that's a pantsload of crap. People have been claiming it for years, but there's always some excuse why they can't produce it. Gee, maybe it's because it doesn't exist.

This planet has gone through many upheavals in the process of creation. There have been many floods and many ice ages through the millions of years it has existed. There have been only about 10,000 years of recorded stories, and more years than that of passing stories down verbally. Some of the oldest flood stories were most likely told from some ancient accounts of an actual flood. That doesn't mean it's Biblical. Historical, perhaps, but they are all just stories just the same.

Fascinating, to be sure, but as you suggest in the opening, hardly the basis of faith. The flood narrative exists in a number of cultures far removed from Semitic history. Steles and reliefs can be read several ways and what is read can be interpreted in various ways as well.
I am a history major, pastor, and hold a doctorate. Like you, I am interested in such finds. However, our faith will never be validated or invalidated by such facts. Nor will we be able to convert others.
I think this material is immaterial. What I believe is important is what you believe. Please share that with us.

The Ark is on Mt. Ararat as the Bible states and this is not just an opinion based on how it mixes with a belief. In the paperback The Ark on Ararat, Geo. Hagopian was taken by his uncle to visit this unique relic made to withstand with forces of the deluge. Of course there were officials who suppressed his adventure but at 72 he was able to disclose it to a few researchers.

many reputable scientists believe in a world wide flood
the fossil evidense, the geological record all speak of a wordwide catastrophe
157 people groups have a cultural memory of the flood and the common theme is the Genesis account, one interesting one is a group of Aborigenes who mention that as the wters receeded they turned to ice. this makes sense to have a post flood ice age, as the earth cooled and before the polar caps froze the artic seas would drive alot of snow causing centuries of a ice age

Science proves many of the events that happened in the Bible. The Bible is a collection of true stories, but they didn't understand the way things worked and assumed these were works of God. These events really happening does not prove God's existence.
