If you mean the State of Georgia, as opposed to the Eastern nation, I went through there a couple times in the last few weeks. I live in Texas, and my son is in Virginia in medical school. So, between Louisiana and Knoxville, TN, I had to cut that short distance across Georgia, by memory at least. I didn't pay much attention, the scenery is really nice. I'd have to look at a map, but by memory again, it seems there is a gas station at Exit 11 and it works out to buy gas there, because it will carry me all the way into C'burg.

I think when I came back last Thursday, it started to rain when I was walking around the Bi-Lo parking lot next to the BP gas station to stretch my legs.

I lived in the suburbs surrounding Atlanta most of my life. Worked and went to school. It's a very technologically advanced city. Also very overcrowded. Traffic is a dangerous road race every single day.

North and south portions of Georgia are very different from Atlanta and very worth while visiting or living there.

I was there in 1996 prior to the Olympics. Atlanta has some nice districts like buckhead. Also granite mountain is worth seeing -- you can hike up it. Also you can drive over to Chattanooga Tennessee and see a Civil War battlefield on the way if you like history.

Yes, in 1988 I was there to visit family members I haven't seen in a while. But I would like to go back, and see where they shot some scenes for the film "Fried Green Tomatoes".
