I was sitting in my friend's chair and her pck of gum fell and I didn't see her until she at it all. Please tell me she will be ok.

I would call a vet. Some dogs just get sick and throw up, but others could get a lot worse side effects. Some dogs can handle chocolate and some can't. At least call and make sure everything will be ok.

Large dog or small dog? Adult or pup? If we're talking a large breed, adult dog (black lab size and larger), the dog should pass it out of it's system in a few days. Just keep an eye on it, check the stool and if the dog starts to vomit, refuse food or becomes listless call the vet. For a smaller breed, especially a toy breed or any puppy, I would call your vet and see what they say.

Your dog will be okay! It will come out in her bowel movement. My dogs have eaten worse things like foil, chocolate (left in a tempting spot by kids) paper and I'm not sure what else. Of course, this is not the same dog a several dogs over the course of 20 years!

I presume she ate it paper and all. My dog ate a bunch of Halls cough drops with the wrappers, and a miracle, he was OK. Check with the vet to see what he/she says to feed the dog to help her pass the gum. I wish you the best of luck.

Just joshin, make sure she has regular BM's (Poop's)
always a possability of a bowel obstruction!
Keep an eye out for normal pooping schedule.

Check her stool for the foil that wraps each piece, just to make sure she passes it. I think she will be fine. (My Shar-Pei ate a dead mouse once). He didn't miss a beat. Dogs stomachs are alot tougher than you would imagine. Good Luck!
