I appreciate the answers but I want to actually learn how to distill and make alcohol.

Not to learn how to make cocktails.

You mean like how to make moonshine? There is a question on here that asks: Have you ever dranked moonshine? Maybe you should consult the one who asked that question. Here in the Bronx, this guy makes "nutcracker" in his kitchen in the Paterson projects in the South Bronx.

home distilling of spirituous alcohol is illegal for individual citizens of the USA to do. The ATF ranks it right up there with growing pot or grass.

Google distillery and read what you can and then hide and try.
