I think a Pomeranian and a poodle would be cute, or a Border Collie and a Cocker Spaniel.

Don't even think about it!
There are so many animals in the world right now - mainly from people who thought this breed and that breed would make a cute baby or to show their children the miracle of life. Good heaven, don't add to the overpopulation of pets in the country with such selfish endeavors. No breed is recognized by any registry until several years or generations have proven the mix to be worthy of being recognized.

DON'T!!! The "designer hybrid" dogs are a scam. No real thought is given into making a new breed, they just make more mutts. You can find many of these dogs that occured naturally (i.e. not planned breredings) being euthinzed everyday in shelters across the world. Many of these dogs come from irresponsible backyard breeders and puppy mills, who dont know what in the heck theyre doing. My recomendation: adopt!!!

I caution against designer breeds. One would think you would get a healthier dog by mixing the breeds, but that is not always so. Sometimes they get the health problems of both breeds and you have a heart break.

Yeah, and then after we completely ruin the definition of a dog breed, we can start making butt ugly cats. How about a siamese and a bengal? Yeah, thats it! We can call it the Bengamese!!

I would breed a Shih Tsu with a Pit Bull...and call the new breed "Bull Shih"

I'd mix a black Chinese Shar Pei and a red Chow Chow. They could call the breed a Chowpei. (Temperament might be a problem).
