Rice cooked in a goat's stomach was one of the worst. I thought I could stomach the rice but it had a really weird taste. I had to eat it because I didn't touch the brains.

Well, ok I know how to prepare and rather enjoy eel, calimari, and roe. So that takes care of the list of creepy crawlies. No, my worst food reactions have to do with midwestern "cuisine"- tater tot casserole and it's ilk. Probably the worst was a pasta casserole with milk as a sauce and deli ham on top of it. Tell me, what's the freaking point? Doesn't that seem like something you throw together because that's what's in the house? But you know how some people are- if you don't eat their food, you might as well have insulted their ancestors or something.

I went to a friend's house, where she decanted some red wine into a large jug taken off a shelf.

I poured myself a glass and had a sip....only to find myself with a dead cockroach between my lips. She was looking right at me so I swallowed it.

No...actually I spat it out with rather quickly and we all had a good laugh.

I ate some philipino dish with pasta and some sort of creature from the sea. I have no idea what it was, but my imagination ran crazy with it and I nearly gagged on it.

When I first met my friend, Reed Rothchild, he made the nastiest Margarita ever! I told him it was good, though. Does that count?
