Yep, they are defying where their religion came from, Judaism. Judaism tells not to worship Idols, looks like Muhammad missed this one. O_o

wow.. in this day and age with the internet it still amazes me the ignorance of some people.

First of all the Kabaa is a square structure made of stone/bricks in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. On one corner of this structure there is a black stone (the size of a little watermelon) that is encased in silver (to protect and hold in place the stone). The stone is not Allah/God. Muslims pray in the direction of the Kabaa not to it. The reason why they pray in this direction is so that all Muslims pray in the same way. Allah/God is everywhere so you cant just pray in one direction or another.

Also, orthodox Jews do pray towards Jerusalem as did Christians for a time after Jesus. This directional prayer was never intended to delineate the location of God only to give a common way and direction to pray for all believers.

If you where to read the history of Chrisitanity you will see that much of the beliefs and practices are derived from pagan beliefs and rituals. Easter was the festival of fertility thats why eggs are placed all around. The reason they are painted is becuase pagans women would undress and put on body paint and hide in the woods and the men would go searching for them. Sunday is actually the day the sun god was worshipped by the Emperor Augustus right before he made christianity the state religion of Bayzantium. Therefore he incorporated it from his own beliefs to make the transition easier. There are others. So who is the pagan now.

We don't pray to the stone. The stone is a fragment of a meteor, which Abraham used for the foundations of his God's house. The Kaba'a has been a Pagan temple until Muhammad cleaned it of all the idols. He placed the meteor fragment in the Kaba'a, but it does not symbolise God. The reason why we pray in the direction of Mecca is so we can be united in our prayer. Would be rather untidy to pray in all kinds of directions at the same time. We do however not worship the stone, nor the Kaba'a, nor Mecca. We only worship Allah. If any religion of the Book would be Pagan, it would be Christianity, praying to statues of Mary and Jesus, and even saints, and believing in a trinity instead of the uniqueness of God.

I love how the Muslims get to so DEFENSIVE when you question them about Islam. But somehow, its perfectly okay for them to insult other religions and cultures? And secondly, why does each defensive (and retarded) Muslim automatically assume that we are Christian? Just because we post a question about Islam or question Islam in anyway, the first thing the Muslims do is assume we must all be Christians (or Americans) and attack Christianity or America. That right there tells me how immature and bigoted these fools are! Someone said "honor killings only happen in certain sects in Islam...most Sunni muslims dont believe in honor killings". Really now??? Then I wonder why these same Muslims blame entire populations/races/countries for something only a small minority of them do? Apparently, we are free to talk sh*t about Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism.... but god forbid we ever talk about Islam! Ramadan is the vile centre of Hypocrism. There is no use arguing with these worthless Muslims. Their all ignorant and racist and deeply hypocritical in nature. Only their own Allah can save them now lol.

Christians pray to a tree. The tree that held Christ at his Crucifixion. Muslims pray to the stone where Mohammad ascended into Heaven. Allah is not the stone. You need to try to understand before you call others Pagan.

allah is not in a big black box
the stone they pray to is like a focus ... much the same as catholic rosary .. just the same as your cross.. the same as the wailing wall
show a little tollerance to others .. especially if you dont fully understand their practises

Isn't the 2nd commandment "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image" so in praying to crosses and statues of Jesus etc would be going against his word anyway?

Christians pray to some bread and wine. It all sounds stupid when you put it like that. You obviously dont understand what religion really is.

the kabba is actually a large nintendo game cube; those muslims go around and around it hoping they will have the chance to play with it. it's really exciting!
