Originally, atheists argued that if one accepts the existence of God with little to no evidence, then one is obligated to accept the existence of any preposterous idea like the idea of a Flying Spaghetti Monster.
But the problem is that I don't see much interest in the idea of a Flying Spaghetti Monster from believers in God. Many, if not all of the posts about the FSM are from atheists and agnostics. It appears to me that it is holding the positions of either atheism or agnosticism which condemns one to fruitless discussions about Flying Spaghetti Monsters.

The point is that the parody falls flat and that the failure of the parody seems to go right over the heads of the atheists and agnostics. The point of the parody is that a belief in God is as silly as a belief in a Flying Spaghetti Monster. Look it up.

Perhaps christians don't participate because they think they are right and don't even bother to find out what Pastafarianism is about. Or perhaps they get the point, and don't wish to debate an issue they know they will lose.
I'm not sure you get it either. Nobody is saying anyone is obligated to believe in the FSM. They're saying that if you want to teach ID in schools, then you open yourself up to having to teach ALL theories that have no proof. Wasn't that the whole point?
In any case, I don't see where FSM ironically acts as evidence for God's existence. Maybe you should explain that point of view further?

yes but He goes so well with marinara sauce.
The reason why they don't accept the FSM as their personal savior is because it would mean admitting their God is a joke. That's just too much for their fragile belief system to handle, hence they mock what is essence a mockery of themselves. Ironic, innit?

I have never seen an atheist state that one is obligated to believe in the FSM.
FSM is a parody on creationism. Look it up.

Again, you demonstrate a complete lack of logical thought.
The FSM in no way validates any "god"
And you also made an erroneous and misinformed assumption that the FSM movement was ever inteneded to convert a single christian.
What orifice did you pull that out of.
Next time you try to make a statement about something, learn about it first.
