Any physiotherapists or similarly knowledgeable folk out there? I want to know, if the only part of each leg directly attached to any part of the other is skin, and I can raise either leg to 90 degrees to my body while keeping the other leg straight, why can't I do full side-splits?

You CAN, you just need to practise, now get some oil, pour it on the kitchen floor, remove your socks and GO FOR IT.
