i'm not sure what i want to do in the future, and i think it is important that i look at the course moneywise as well. i know for sure i want to do something science based and vocational.... so i can easily get a job as soon as i qualify.
if any one could give any advice to me id greatly appreciate it.

Don't listen to people who tell you not to follow the money. You can follow the money AND your heart. Money isn't everything but it allows you a certain freedom. Pharmacists are in demand right now. I'm quite sure that audiologists will be in demand in the not too distant future, since there is an entire generation of people are currently destroying their hearing in their cars. Optometrist would probably be the worst job you could choose as far as being able to make a living. Open any phone book, you'll see that there are more optometrists than the local population can support. I have a friend who graduated years ago and he still doesn't have his own practice. Personally I think anything with dentistry would be gross, but that's up to you. Hope this was helpful and good luck.

Audiologist Salary
Median in U.S. $61,655/YR
Demand is growing as the "boomer" population ages but it requires extensive education and training.
Lots of info on Audiology here:

Dental Hygenist Median salary in U.S. $64,051/yr
A dental hygenist makes about as much as an audiologist but the education period is much lower

Pharmacist U.S. median $98,777/yr (extensive education needed)

Optometrist U.S. median $97,703/yr (extensive education needed)

what is in demand now might not be when you qualify, as for moneywise follow your heart, not your head and start your own business, good luck and be prepared to work hard and long hours
