i got a new pup.. she is healthy... my older dog now has a cough.. i have heard of kennel cough, but this pup isnt coughing?

It depends how old your pup is. If pup has not had her booster vaccination (12 week old one) then yes she can get sick indeed.
Take your older dog to the vet if you feel it is kennel cough, it is not life threatening to the older dog but yes it can be dangerous for the puppy.

If your dog is coughing take it to the vet. Kennel cough is dangerous and can kill a dog if not treated.

Your puppy needs its temporary shots, so take it to a Vet immediately. Your pup could get the problem from your other dog. They both need attention.
