I seriously doubt that India will ever be ranked first in the world, they can substantially impove their rank if their not so corupt and the government actually tires to get the economy function. But they will become a superpower while not been a economic superpower like china they would probably become a military superpower. The other thing that would improve thier rank would be closer ties between different states currently theirs the whole north india and the south thing.

Rajiv Gandhi said it will be another 200 years for India to be ranked top in the world. Just count how many more years are left.

as soon as all indians want to accept that they are true indians, and dont go and work abroad and be in india itself and help in growing india's economy rather than of some other country.
indians take good knowledg in schools and colleges and go abroad to other country's to make their economy's, once this is stop and our own people stay in india itself and help economy to grow then you will see india on the first rank in this entire world.

Yes, it will. Provided it absorbs the meritorious population into the main stream.When they stop private professional education factories producing rubbish. When right man gets right place. Stops just following the west with loss of self thinking.
