Not quickly. The military is already overextended for resources. Our economy has become one of buying everything on credit. If we had a large scale war with someone like, say, China, we would be cut off from alot of the stuff we are buying right now, and it would take time to convert factories and build up an infrastructure to support a big war. By then, it would probably be over or nuclear.
That's the problem when you let commerce run our military actions. Everything gets done on the cheap and nothing is kept in inventory. That's why you can't run the gobmint' like a business. Someone has to look ahead and spend money on things we hopefully won't ever need, just in case we do.

Yes and NO. Yes if we invade Iran. Yes if we don't leave Iraq.
Yes if we try to send more troops into the MIddle East. Yes if we don't tell Israel to stop invading the countries. Yes if we don't educate our selves in Middle East affairs. No if we do all of the above.

aren't we already? Afganistan, Iraq and soon Iran, seems to me the America's are staking out an out right claim to most of the crued oil in the world.

yeah i think so. there will probably be a draft too, b/c there just aren't enough people in the military here. but also many other countries will be joining our side, b/c now many countries are being targeted by terrorists.

I don't think so. I think it will continue that our troops will be in Iraq, Iran, wherever they are at for a while, until they get pulled out of there.
