Odessa, TX - the absolute worst city in the whole damn world... I wouldn't even wish it on my ex-wife...

BUT - Jack Jordan's BBQ, in Odessa is the finest I have ever eaten ANYWHERE

Right in my yard. We still use an open pit and wood skewer. Only cook 2 times a year and then freeze a load to last the rest.

I have to say that Oakland has the best barbecue I have ever had. If you have never heard of Everett and Jones, you are missing out.

There is no real barbecue in the US anymore. It's all hot-smoked, not open pit. But Memphis has the best ribs.
