The answer to your question is yes and no. If you are symptomatic then you will be disqualified. If you are asymptomatic then you will be fine. They may need medical documents to determine that. Your best bet is the let the CMO at MEPS decide if you are flat footed or not and unless you wear orthodics, I would just go in with the attitude that is not a big deal. Of course tell your recruiter and he should know what to do. I know what I would do.

Flat feet do not disqualify you.
It will certainly keep you form certain career fields. Potentially, it also merits a waiver.
First and foremost, MEPS has to disqualify you. After this has occurred the AF needs to instigate a consultation with an AF approved doctor that will provide a "waiver" telling MEPS you are qualified for enlistment. After MEPS has received this order you should be fine.
That's the worst case scenario. Speak to your local recruiter for details.

They do a quick examination for flat feet. When you are lined up just raise the arches a little. The docs will line everyone up--in their boxers--and check for scars, flat feet, posture, etc.. when they do that just get in the back row and raise em.
I have flat feet and they pulled me out of line. Checked it over and gave me a pass. They said I had moderate flat feet. My friend got pulled out of line because he had a scar on his knee. Football injury. They also have you kick in the air. He probably had the strongest kick. But because of that operation they booted him right there.

I found this on a military forum, answered by a National Guard recruiter. It looks like a permanent disqualifier, but only a MEPS physical will be able to rule you out completely. The fact that you do run now, may be a reason for a waiver, if one is possible.

I don't think so, but you would get a better answer from a recruiter. The bigger issue will be getting the high enough score on your ASVAB. The Air Force and Navy have actually raised the bar.

Talk to a real good foot doctor first and see what he says and then go see a military recruiter and they'll give you good information on whether youcould go in. I think you might be able to go in with a waiver.

Go talk to the man. He probably can't give you a definitive answer until you take the physical though.
