spookysickness is absolutely right.
Just like English, in most cases, adjectives come before nouns they modify. Thus, "kawaii hoshi" or "kawaii suta" is correct.
kawaii (cute): adjective
hoshi (star): noun
I'm just curious which one you're talking about: the stars in the sky or in Hollywood?

Adjectives come before the word when you're describing the word.
Kawaii hoshi or kawaii suta- would be better unless you are trying to say "the star is cute" in which is would become "hoshi / suta wa kawaii [desu]"

Or kawaii hoshi...or hoshi kawaii. Either way, hoshi means star. But what you have works too.
