I like to give kids books. Disney probably has a Princess story collection. Depending on how close you are to her parents, it might not be a great idea to go with makeup, some parents don't want their daughters to have that. It would probably be much more fun to take her for ice cream and then to get a mani pedi with you.

I'm 18 and for my birthday my friend bought me a GIANT rubber duck. It's like a foot long. My 1 1/2 year old niece came over and she loved it. That could be a good present? It was only around £10, so you could get her some other stuff with it. You could get a giant canvas and some paints and set it up in the garage/garden and let rip! Get someone to tape it, then put the picture up in her room and give her the tape either now, or on a different birthday - a significant one like 16th/18th?

My daughter will be 5 this Halloween. Books are the way to go. I saw where someone mentioned the Disney Princess stories and that's a great idea. It's feminine and educational.

well you could give her lots of things:
dolls (barbies or my scene in particular)
stuffed animals
sumthing from the disney store with her favorite princess on it
jewlery
stroy book on princesses
and a lot of those things. i think her mom might get mad if she makes a mess with her makeup and nail polish so i wouldn't really give her that
hope this helps

They have these magnetic paper dolls, all 6 Disney princesses would cost about $25.
