If you are consuming any quantity of caffeine (soda pop, chocolate, coffee) you will want to look there first. That can be a very sneaky drug that affects you more than you might think. If you have a major caffeine jones, you might even have withdrawal symptoms.

try some calming breathing excersizes like inhaling slowly for five seconds and exhaling for five seconds and repeating. You might have a slight case of panic disorder or ocd (obssive complusive order) but i don't think your problem is that serious b/c everyone gets a little nervous now and then. But if you're nervous to the point where you can't have a normal day (before the panic onsets started) then i'd definetly think about seeing a physcologist for some help.

Are you undergoing change in your life?
Stress is often the cause but you should look at caffeine, nicotine intake as has been suggested.
This is most likely a passing phase but you did not give enough detail.

By the way, poor sleep could also be a factor

I know that feeling of being nervous all to well. I have a nervous problem also on top of being Bipolar sometimes the two of them go hand in hand. Have you asked your family doctor for something for your nerver such as Xanax, Valium or Klonapin? If not I would suggest that you ask him. If he refuses you should go to see a Psychiatrist and discuss the problem with him and I am sure that he will help you. Try to avoid anything with caffeine in it such as Cola's and chocolate anything with caffeine and coffee. If you are going to drink them buy something like caffeine free coke or pepsi and decaffinated coffee. They taste the same as regular I drink caffeine free coke all of the time and it tastes the same as the regular coke. If you need to drink regular coffee as i do limit yourself to one cup in the morning. Hope it works for you.

Well, there are a few things u could do...first of all I can share w/u that my personal relationship w/Jesus (see http://www.billygraham.org ) keeps me peaceful--but I am human & need reasurrances from time to time as well. U should also seek professional assistance (i.e. a doctor/psychologist) to see if there is a medication u can take to relieve ur anxiety. U need to get to the core of the prob. God bless U!

From personal experience, I would advise deep breathing and a total aversion from whatever is making you nervous.

I get really nervous too.
I stay home.

Can you give some more details? What is it you are nervous about? Are you nervous about anything? Write a bit more about how you feel.

Take inventory: What happened just before you began to be nervous...are you 'stuffing' your emotions and not expressing them...are you drinking too much caffeins...taking different meds...afraid of the future...

Kill the caffeine.
Eat natural & organic food as much as possible.
Avoid sugar and processed foods.
Drink a lot of water.

Do these things, and you will feel much better in no time.
